Ingredients
  • Brown tamarind pulp - 1 cup
  • Cooked Rice - 2 cups
  • Jaggery - 2thsp
  • Peanuts - 3thsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Channa dhal - 2tsp
  • Asafetida - little Dry red chilies - 4
  • Peanuts little
  • Few Curry leaves
  • Masala powder
  • Channa dhal - 2tsp
  • Urad wash --2tsp
  • Coriander seeds - 2tsp
  • Dry red chilies - 2
  • Turmeric powder - pinch
  • Oil
Directions
  • Step 1 First step take a pan add tamarind pulp, jaggery along with 1 cup of water allow it to boil to form thick paste and keep aside
  • Step 2 Take a small pan add oil 2tsp then add mustard seeds ,Channa dhal, Asafetida, ,curry leaves, roasted peanuts, dry red chilies fry for few minutes add to the tamarind paste mix well
  • Step 3 Dry masala powder Procedure – Refer Step 4, 5 and 6:
  • Step 4 Take a pan add dry roast each above mentioned ingredients separately  then blend to a fine powder
  • Step 5 Take a bowl add cooked rice then add tamarind mixture,salt mix well
  • Step 6 Finally add masala powder to the Tamarind Rice 2 thsp mix well enjoy the tasty temple style Tamarind Rice
