This recipe is famous in North Indian Cuisine blended with fresh Mushrooms and Peas serves as sides with Pooris,Rice and Naans.
Mushroom Mattar ( Peas )

A North Indian curry

Ingredients
- Mushrooms – 1 cup
- Fresh Green boiled Peas – 1/2 cup
- Onions -2
- Tomatoes – 3
- Green chillies sliced – 3
- Ginger garlic paste – 2tsp
- Cashews nuts – 2thsp
- Milk – 1/2 cup
- Poppy seeds – 1tsp ( optional )
- Kashmiri Red Chili powder – 1tsp
- Curry leaves chopped – few
- Coriander leaves chopped – few
- Salt
- Garam masala powder – 1tsp
Directions
- Step 1 First step Soak the cashews-nuts in milk along with poppy seeds for 10 minutes then grind to smooth paste.
- Step 2 Take a pan add oil 2thsp allow to become hot then add chopped onions with green chilies tomatoes chopped, curry leaves Fry for 2 minutes.
- Step 3 Then add slice mushrooms along with boiled peas mix well cook for 5 minutes.
- Step 4 Next take onion 1 and tomatoes 2 along with KashmiriRed Chilli powder grind to smooth paste.
- Step 5 Add the paste to the Mushroom mixture cook for 2 minutes then add ginger garlic paste along with cashews, milk and poppy seeds paste. Note add salt and garam masala powder keep the flame in medium cook for 10 minutes till gravy becomes thick in consistency.
- Step 6 Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
- Step 7 Serve hot with Rice ,Rotis or Pooris
