This recipe is from south Indian style blended with semolina along with additional ingredients quick and easy breakfast Delight. A South Indian Breakfast Delight.

Ingredients
  • Semolina ( Rava)- 1/2 CUP
  • Water - 1.5 Cup
  • Mustard seeds- 1tsp
  • Cumin seeds- 1tsp
  • Peppercorns- 1 tsp
  • Onions chopped - 1
  • Green chilies chopped- 3
  • Ginger minced - 1/2 tsp
  • Cashew nuts - 1 tsp
  • Shredded coconut little.
  • Curry leaves few
  • Turmeric powder- pinch
  • Astafoetida- pinch
  • Salt
Directions
  • Step 1 Take a pan add oil few tsp then add mustard seeds allow to splatter then add cumin seeds,
  • Step 2 Peppercorns, onions,green chilies,curry leaves
  • Step 3 Astafoetida fry for few minutes.
  • Step 4 Then add cashews together along with salt and turmeric powder.
  • Step 5 For 1/2 cup of semolina add 1 and 1/2 cup water.
  • Step 6 Now to the fried items add water as mentioned above allow to boil..After it boils add semolina slowly start stirring when it starts becoming thick add 1 tsp ghee and little coconut.
  • Step 7 Easy upma recipe ready for serve.
  • Step 8 Note: For Upma recipe, the measurement of water should be accurate to get perfect texture to enjoy.
  • Step 9 Serve with Coconut Chutney .
