This recipe is famous and authentic sweet delight from South Indian Cuisine. Its blended with gram flour, ghee along sugar syrup with fewer ingredients yummylicious sweet Delight is ready.

Ingredients
  • Besan or Gram flour - 1 cup
  • Melted Ghee - 3 cups.
  • Granulated sugar - 2 1/2 cups ( personally added less sugar depends on own preferences )
  • Water - 1 1/2 cup
Directions
  • Step 1 First step take a wide bottom pan as shown in the picture below add sugar along with water keep stirring with the spatula in medium flame only.
  • Step 2 Take a glassware or baking pan grease it will melted ghee keep aside.
  • Step 3 Meanwhile, take the gram flour seive it keep aside on a plate.
  • Step 4 Note the sugar syrup needs to be in one thread consistency to check it take small plate with water little then drop the sugar syrup on the plate if the sugar syrup settles to the bottom of the plate it's perfect for the mysorepak.
  • Step 5 Meanwhile melt the ghee keep aside.
  • Step 6 At this point start adding the gram flour little by little keep stirring in medium flame.
  • Step 7 After adding the gram flour to the sugar syrup add ghee little by little keep stirring the mysorepak for 10 minutes.
  • Step 8 Note the texture of the gram flour will change and also the color gives nice flavor at this point pour the mysorepak mixture on a greesed pan with the spatula press it uniformly as shown in the picture.
  • Step 9 Allow to cool for 30 minutes then take a sharp knife cut to desired shape mysorepak sweet is ready to serve.
  • Step 10 Note : Don't need to dry roast gram flour and make sure sugar syrup is in right consistency.
