Coconut Chutney

This recipe is authentic famous in South Indian Cuisine blended with coconut and roasted gram .Coconut Chutney is usually served with Idlis,Dosa Varieties, Upma and Appam.

Ingredients
- Freshly scrapped coconut - 1/2 cup
- Roasted gram ( Dhailia) - 2thsp
- Garlic - little
- Tamarind - little
- Green chillies - 2 to 3
- Curry leaves few
- Salt
- Mustard seeds - 1tsp
- Urad dhal - 1/2 tsp
- Dry red chilies few.
Directions
- Step 1 First step take a blender add coconut, roasted gram, garlic, tamarind, green chilies, curry leaves little, salt and little water grind to smooth consistency and keep aside.
- Step 2 Take a small pan for tempering add little oil allow it to become hot then add mustard seeds allow to splutter then add Urad dhal, dry red chilies fry for few minutes finally add curry leaves then add to the coconut mixture.
- Step 3 Serve with Idlis, Dosa varieties, Upma, and appam.
- Step 4 Note: Chutney taste depends mainly with fresh tender coconut.
