This recipe is blended with Bottle Gourd cooked with milk and milk solids along with additional ingredients to get rich creamy dessert.
Ingredients
- Bottle Gourd scrapped - 1 cup
- Mawa / khoya. - 1/2 cup
- Warm Milk - 1 cup
- Granulated Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Cardamom powder. - 1 tsp
- Mixed Dry Fruits - 1/2 tsp
- Raisins , Cashewnuts , Almonds, Pistachios
- Green color - pinch
- Ghee - 3 thsp
Directions
- Step 1 Take a pan add ghee allow it to become hot then add mixed dry fruits fry in medium flame until light brown in color transfer into a plate keep aside.
- Step 2 Next step on the same pan add the scrapped Bottle Gourd fry in medium flame add cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon keep stirring at regular intervals cook for 5 minutes then add warm milk mixed with green color a pinch .
- Step 3 At this point add the milk to the pan mix well cook until milk mixture is observed at this point Then add sugar cook for 4 minutes next add khoya along with remaining cardamom powder mix well cook for 3 to 4 minutes to semi thick Halwa consistency.
- Step 4 Finally add mixed dry fruits in Lauki Halwa fry for 2 minutes.
- Step 5 Bottle Gourd Halwa / Lauki Halwa is ready for serving.
