Restaurant style Mushroom Peas Masala / Mushroom Matar Masala

This recipe is made with fresh mushrooms and GreenPeas( fresh or Frozen ) very famous in North Indian cuisine. it’s cooked with freshly grinded masala to get restaurant style creamy texture and taste yummicious. Served with Rotis , Naans and Pulao Varieties
Ingredients
- Fresh Mushrooms halved - 1 cup
- Green Peas - 1 /2 cup
- Cashew-nuts - 2 thsp
- Poppy seeds- 1 thsp
- Warm Milk - 1/4 cup
- Black cardamom-2
- Cloves - 6
- Cinnamon-3
- Green cardamom - 4
- Cumin seeds - 3 tsp
- Coriander Seeds- 2 thsp
- Dry Red Chilli -3
- Onions diced- 2
- Tomatoes chopped- 2
- Ginger chopped- 50 gms
- Garlic peeled - 5 to 6
- Red chilies powder- 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 2 tsp
- Salt - 1 .5 tsp
- Oil
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Ghee - 2tsp
- Ginger juveniles- 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves chopped- 1/4 cup
Directions
- Step 1 First step take a bowl add cashews and poppy seeds soak in warm milk for 30 minutes grind to smooth paste keep aside.
- Step 2 Take a small pan add allow to become hot in low flame add black cardamom, green cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds , coriander seeds and dry red chilies fry for 2 minutes to light brown then allow to cool completely grind to smooth powder.
- Step 3 Next step take a blender add onions, tomatoes , ginger , garlic and red Chilli powder add little water grind to smooth paste.
- Step 4 Take a wide pan add oil 2 thsp allow to become hot add whole spices along with cumin seeds 1 tsp fry in medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Step 5 Next step add onion paste mixture stir with spatula fry for 2 to 3 minutes then add turmeric powder and salt mix well close the lid cook till the oil oozes out from the mixture about 5 minutes.
- Step 6 Next add the white paste mix well cook for 2 minutes in medium flame then close the lid cook the mixture for 3 minutes.
- Step 7 Remove the lid at this point add fresh mushrooms mix with spatula cook for 2 minutes then add green peas mix well add dry roasted powder, coriander Leaves few and salt .
- Step 8 Add 1/4 cup water cook for few minutes then close the lid cook for 5 minutes.
- Step 9 Finally take a pan add ghee 2 tsp allow to melt then add ginger juveniles allow to become light brown in color .
- Step 10 Remove the lid allow mushroom masala to cook for few minutes then add tempering and coriander leaves cook for few minutes.
- Step 11 Restaurant style Mushroom Peas Masala is ready for serving with Rotis, Naans and Pulao Varieties.
