My first attempt to try baking with Betel leaves egg-less taste unique blended with few ingredients Cake smells aromatic after baking .

Ingredients
  • All purpose flour- 2cups
  • Betel leaves- 5
  • Butter( room temperature)- 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 3/4 cup
  • Fresh Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar- 3/4 cup
  • Baking Soda - 1tsp
  • Baking powder-- 1/2 tsp
  • Green color - 1/2 tsp
  • Gulkand- 1thsp
  • Fennel powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Mukhawas- 2thsp
  • Supari - 1tsp ( optional)
  • Tuttl frutti- 1/4 cup.
  • Pistachios - few
  • Almonds- few
  • Red cherry- few
Directions
  • Step 1 First step take a bowl add all purpose flour, baking Soda and baking powder mix well qith a spatula sieve the flour twice and keep aside.
  • Step 2 Next step take the fresh Betel leaves chop it grind with little milk to smooth consistency.
  • Step 3 Then filter the paan keep aside.
  • Step 4 Take a bowl add powdered sugar and butter beat it to smooth consistency then add yogurt beat well at this point add sieve all purpose flour, along Filtered betel betel leaves .
  • Step 5 At this point add green food color ,Gulkand, fennel powder slowly mix with the spatula.
  • Step 6 Now add milk slowly and mix gently to semi thick consistency.
  • Step 7 Finally grease a pan with butter then preheat the oven to 350 degrees ( 175 ) for 10 minutes.
  • Step 8 To the cake batter add tuttl frutti, Mukhawas mix slowly pour in the baking pan top with Almonds and Pistachios as shown in picture below.
  • Step 9 Now bake the cake for 40 minutes check with the help of toothpick comes out clean .
  • Step 10 Transfer to a wire rack allow to cool completely for 45 minutes.
  • Step 11 Then slice the cake with help of sharp knife .
  • Step 12 Enjoy making the paan cake.
  • Step 13 Keep refrigerated. good for a week.
