This is a very famous street food delight from North Indian cuisine. It’s made with Potato Patties, Chickpeas ( Garbanzo Beans ) curry, topped with few layers Yogurt, Green Chutney, Sweet Chutney sprinkling few masala served with freshly chopped onions, Coriander Leaves and Sev . Truly taste yum and must try the recipe.

Ingredients
  • Boiled Potatoes - 4
  • Coriander leaves chopped- 1/4 cup
  • Green chilies chopped- 3
  • Onions chopped-1
  • Carrots scrapped- 1
  • Ginger chopped- 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  • Red Chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Black salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Dry Mango Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Lime juice - 1/2 tsp
  • All-purpose flour- 2 thsp
  • Semolina- 2 tsp
  • Salt - add accordingly
  • Oil- frying
  • Serving:
  • Green Chutney
  • Sweet Chutney
  • Channa Gravy
  • Creamy Yogurt
  • Cumin powder
  • Red Chili powder
  • Aloo Tikki
  • Onions
  • Coriander leaves
Directions
  • Step 1 First step make the Channa Gravy Detail Recipe Video is posted in my blog so skipping this process.
  • Step 2 For Aloo Tikki/ Potato Patties make sure the potatoes are cooled completely to room temperature take a bowl add boiled potatoes mash to smooth texture.
  • Step 3 At this point add all ingredients one by one green chili, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, Black salt, Dry Mango powder ( Amchur powder), Lime Juice, Onions, Carrot scrapped, all-purpose flour, Semolina, Salt mix well with the spoon first then knead the potato dough mixture .
  • Step 4 Next take lemon size potato mixture makes patties place on a plate.
  • Step 5 Take a pan add generous amount to shallow fry the potato Patties allow the oil to become hot in medium flame 🔥 only.
  • Step 6 At this point slowly add the Aloo Tikki don’t add too many Patties at one shot .
  • Step 7 It takes approximately 5 to 6 minutes to cook on one side slowly flip to other side with a spatula. Finally transfer all potato patties on a plate keep aside.
  • Step 8 Crispy Crunchy Potato Patties is ready .

  • Step 10 Take the desired plate add two Aloo Tikki break into few large pieces then add Chole curry, Green Chutney, Sweet Chutney, Yogurt, sprinkle little salt, cumin powder, red chilies powder, Chole curry if required add Chutney again garnish with Sev, chopped onions, coriander leaves.

  • Step 12 Note: If the potato patties tend to break while frying add additional all-purpose flour to the mixture.
