This sweet delight is popular in Indian Cuisine it’s flaky inside is soft texture coated with syrup taste delicious.
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour/ Maida - 2 cups
- Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Yogurt - 2 thsp
- Melted Ghee - 1/2 cup
- Granulated Sugar - 1.5 cup
- Water - 1.5 cup
- Rosewater - 1/2 tsp
- Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp
- Lime juice - 1/4 tsp
Directions
- Step 1 First step make the sugar syrup take wide bottom steel pan add granulated sugar along with water to keep stirring in medium flame at regular intervals until the sugar dissolves.
- Step 2 It takes approximately 8 minutes to get to sticky one thread consistency at this point add cardamom powder, rose water mix well then add lime juice remove from the flame allow the syrup to cool down. Keep aside
- Step 3 Next step take a wide bowl swift the All-purpose flour/ Maida then add baking soda, yogurt, ghee, water knead the dough for 3 to 4 minutes then allow the dough to rest for 15 minutes.
- Step 4 Take a pan add a generous amount of oil allow it to become hot in medium flame
- Step 5 The next step after the dough is rested take a small lemon sized dough make balls flatten it then make a small dent with the thumb in the center keep aside.
- Step 6 Take a wide pan add a generous amount of oil keep the flame in medium allow it to become hot then test by adding a small piece of dough in the oil if it raises immediately the temperature is good for frying the Badusha.
- Step 7 Drop one by one don’t overcrowd allow the Badusha to fry in low medium flame until it gets to light golden color uniformly on both sides.
- Step 8 Cook all the Badusha drop in sugar syrup for 3 to 4 minutes depends then transfer on a plate garnish with pistachios or desired nuts.
- Step 9 Enjoy making theses yummicious sweet for Diwali.
- Step 10 Note : Don’t fry Badusha on high flame for good results only on low medium flame.
