This dessert is popular in South Indian cuisine blended with Semolina, Pineapple flavor and Granulated sugar along with additional flavor ingredients to enhance the taste and texture to the recipe.
Ingredients
- Ingredients:
- Semolina - 1 cup
- Granulated Sugar - 1.5 cup
- Ghee - 1/2 cup
- Saffron soaked in milk
- Cashew nuts and Raisins roasted in ghee for garnish cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp.
- Pineapple Essence- 1/2 teaspoon
- warm water- 2 cups
Directions
- Step 1 First step takes a wide bottom nonstick pan add ghee 3 tablespoons allow it to become hot then add semolina 1cup fry in medium low flame by stirring at regular intervals for 6 to 7 minutes.
- Step 2 Note the color should not change slowly get aromatic smell at this point of time add warm water 2 cup mix well close the lid allows the semolina to cook for 2 to 3 minutes in low flame.
- Step 3 Next step remove the lid at this point add saffron milk soaked, Sugar and remaining ghee mix slowly keep stirring at regular intervals until the lumps disappear Kesari gets to smooth consistency.
- Step 4 Meanwhile fry the dry fruits in ghee keep aside.
- Step 5 At his point after Kesari gets to smooth soft texture add, cardamom powder, pineapple essence mixes all the ingredients finally pineapple Kesar is ready for serving.
- Step 6 Garnish with roasted dry fruits.
