This paneer recipe is very popular gravy in North Indian Cuisine its easy recipe best sides for Rotis, Naans and Pulao varieties.

Ingredients
  • Butter 🧈- 1/4 cup
  • Bay Leaf -2
  • Cinnamon stick - 2
  • Cardamom - 2
  • Cloves - 2
  • Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Onions finely chopped- 2
  • Green chilies slit -2
  • Ginger garlic paste. - 2 teaspoons
  • Tomotaes chopped. - 3
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red Chilli powder - 1 teaspoons
  • Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Coriander powder- 2 teaspoons
  • Warm Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Orange color- pinch ( optional)
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoons
  • Salt - 2 teaspoons
  • Garam Masala- 1 tsp
  • Crushed Coriander Seeds- 1 teaspoons
  • Fresh Coriander leaves- garnish
Directions
  • Step 1 1.Take a wide bottom pan add generous amount of butter 🧈 allow it melt in medium flame then add whole spices bay leaf , cinnamon, cardamom, cloves fry for few seconds then add fennel seeds 1 tsp , finely chopped onions and green chilies fry until onion turns translucent.
  • Step 2 2 .At this point add ginger garlic paste mix well with the spatula cook for 3 to 4 minutes until raw smell leaves.
  • Step 3 3. Now add Chopped Tomatoes medium sized 3 to the mixture along with salt – 1 tsp along with dry masalas turmeric powder- 1 /4 tsp , red Chili powder- 1/2 tsp , Kashmiri red Chili powder- 2 tsp , coriander powder- 2 tsp mix all the ingredients allow the mixture to cook for a while . 4.Note the tomatoes must turn mushy takes about 5 minutes.
  • Step 4 5. At this point reduce the flame to low add 1/2 cup of warm milk to the mixture with the spatula stir at regular intervals.
  • Step 5 6.It’s optional to add orange color a pinch if required mix with the gravy keep stirring at regular intervals close the lid allow to cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Step 6 7.At this point remove the lid oil will be oozing out next add salt 1/2 tsp next add paneer cubes slowly coat with the gravy .
  • Step 7 8.Next step add 1/2 cup water along with Sugar 1 tsp and Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp mix slowly close the lid cook in low flame.
  • Step 8 9.Finally remove the lid add crushed coriander seeds and freshly chopped coriander leaves mix well cook until the oil oozes out.
  • Step 9 Garnish with cashew nuts and Paneer Butter Masala is ready for serving.
  • Step 10 Serve with Butter Naan , Pulao and Rotis.
